The Hayden Hurst Family Foundation
Helping youth, military, and others in need regarding their health, education, and wellness by funding facilities and programs through donations and fundraising events.
You are not alone.
Many suffer in silence. If we can help open the communication channels to talk about mental health, we can not only eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, but provide guidance and support for people in need.
Sharing stories creates connection.
Connection creates hope.
We were honored to speak at this year’s Acadia Leadership Summit, where leaders representing 279 behavioral health facilities across 40 states and Puerto Rico came together to strengthen the future of mental healthcare.
Thank you, Acadia, for inviting us to be part of this important event and for your continued commitment to supporting mental health in communities across the country.

Watch Hayden’s Story
After some time in the minor leagues his passion for baseball had diminished, which threw his life in flux. He wanted everything to be over. But, he was given a second chance in life, culminating in his NFL dream being accomplished. Listen to Hayden's powerful story of resilience, and together let's break the stigma on mental health.
We were proud to support the Marine & Family Behavioral Sciences annual Sucicide Prevention Awareness Month event on September 22nd, 2026.
“Sponsorship funding from the Hayden Hurst Family Foundation made this amazing outreach possible by assisting in the purchase of SPAM inventory, take-home musubi kits, fresh ingredients, snacks, and incentive gift cards.
This generous support allowed the Behavioral Health Branch to align directly with the Hayden Hurst Family Foundation’s core mission: eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health, equipping youth and military communities with practical peer-support skills, and delivering compassionate, stigma-free intervention directly to at-risk service members.”

Our Areas of Impact
Youth Mental Health
Suicide is the second leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10 and 34. (CDC)
Our Foundation funds programs for children and adolescents which help them identify, manage, and express emotions constructively. As a result, these individuals are more likely to avoid anxiety issues, depression, and other mental health issues.
Military Veteran Mental Health
Veterans are 1.5 times more likely to commit suicide than the average American. (U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs)
To help combat this higher than average suicide rate, our Foundation is proud to support U.S. Military Veterans through programs which provide potentially life saving mental health tools including specially-trained K9 companions.
